Dandy news, Deity of War fans: The ultimate game in Kratos' bloody revenge trilogy testament completely avoid the dreaded flagellum of PS3 games – the tricky-drive install.

If the compelling PS3 had just one hardware weakness, it would probably be the system's need to install data for most of its games before you bugger off to really jump on in and start playing. Devil May Cry's 20-minute put in time may have been the extreme exception rather than the ruler, but it's nevertheless a little of a mood-killer when you take the shiny late spirited from the package, commit information technology in, and … induce to ride for a few minutes earlier getting to gambol.

Some games are managing to get around the issue thanks to some technical wizardry, so much A the mammoth Concluding Fantasise XIII. Now, Sony fans have other big-identify title to add to the "no instal necessary" booklet: Despite clocking in at a hefty 40GB, God of War III won't require anything on the far side a simple 5MB install to save your game.

This information comes from Sony Santa Monica technological boss Christer Ericson, WHO Tweeted:

"God of War 3 does Non make a HD install. The 5MB listed on box back is for save spunky but."

Good to know, main. Next step: Abolish installs entirely!

Also, am I the only one who feels supernatural beholding "5MB" to save your game when PS2 memory card game backrest in the daytime clocked in at 8MB total?
